Recognized not only for its class leading customer service and strong retention, Lexus continues to pursue the Passionate Pursuit of Perfection. Lexus is globally acclaimed as one of the only brands to maintain the “Lexus Covenant”, which underlines the brand’s commitment to service, quality, and luxury. Gone are the days when Lexus was associated as a “glorified Toyota”. With quality, efficiency, and design as a priority, Lexus reintroduces a new generation of one its best selling models, the ES350.
The ES350 continues on with its award winning formula of a segment leading luxury sedan that offers plenty of amenities to please its high demanding consumers. Starting from the front, the new ES introduces the company’s new corporate face with a prominent spindle grill with L-finesse LED lights that offer a brilliant, contemporary touch. Lexus has introduced a slightly more aggressive body shape, which translates to an even lower drag coefficient than the previous generation, granting slightly higher fuel economy ratings.
Towards the rear of the sedan, the greenhouse immediately swoops back to connect the C-pillar directly to the trunk. Chrome with modern flair compliments the redesigned rear taillights, which also offer a modern LED light fixture to warn others, giving the ES a distinct presence on road for others to note from the rear. The trunk still offers plenty of space to fit golf clubs, or luggage for the perfect weekend getaway.
On the inside, the ES continues to draw consumers in with premium leather seats that offer plenty of support with ventilated and heated features in the front. Soft touch door inserts and dashboard add to the sophisticated luxury foundation, which has made Lexus a strong luxury contender in a highly competitive marketplace. A unique “computer mouse” controller offers haptic feedback that allows the driver to operate all menus and navigation controls while driving. The feedback allows the driver to “feel” the buttons on the screen while scrolling over the different options.
Under the hood, the ES offers up a 3.5 liter V6 engine that pushes out 268 horsepower with 248 lb ft of torque. Power is sufficient enough to get the 3,550 lb sedan to 60 miles per hour in just 7.0 seconds. The EPA rates the new ES sedan with up to 31 MPG on the highway, 21 in the city, and 24 combined. Through mixed city and highway driving through South Florida, the test vehicle returned a consistent 25.4 MPG.
The ES continues to be one of the best selling luxury sedans in a highly competitive segment with world-class automobiles. The ES maintains an eloquent stance and design, while offering the very highest in technological advancements that are intuitive to the driver and passengers. Special design innovations also keep the ES one of the quietest sedans on the road today. For more information on the all-new ES, please visit Lexus at lexususa.com.
