On July 22, 2013, on the final evening of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim that took place in the tropical setting of The Raleigh Hotel in South Beach, a designer with that special flair for elegant swimwear presented her 2014 Cruise Collection to a zealous audience.
Amanda Ché has a beautiful personality that is just as influential as the suits and beachwear that she designs. This season gave us a brand new beach dress collection that is an amazing addition to a woman’s wardrobe. Gorgeous prints and vivid colors are Amanda’s specialty.
When asked about her inspiration for this latest collection, it was all about California cool with a bit of retrospection on the 70’s. Lots of straps, versatility of mixing and matching pieces and textures that stand out are all highlights of a most memorable collection.
One of Amanda’s favorite suits opened the show gleaming on the runway with chic color-blocking. It only got better and better as there were prints with flattering geos in vibrant colors and a bright snakeskin suit in a diamond shape. A. Ché Swimwear is all about fine Italian fabrics and cutting-edge functionality. There is a suit for every woman with bra cup sizing ranging from 32A to 36F with support and beauty that is difficult to find in many brands.
Amanda Che’ started out young as a competitive swimmer and her love of the water has only served to solidify her creativity with swimwear. She has traveled to so many captivating beaches all across the globe to scuba dive and just plain explore what each has to offer and that has duly influenced her passion in swimwear design. Her knack for business and design started at the very young age of 5 when she began taking orders for custom designed lace teddy bears. Her business sense only continued to grow and she ended up working in the family business manufacturing lingerie.
When asked if there is one destination that motivates her creativity, she was quick to reply that Bora Bora was her paradise that does wonders for a designer. This was her honeymoon vacation destination last October. Amanda considers artists in general, both old and new, whether painter or sculptor, to be her mentors in the world of design.
When asked what kind of advice she would have for new designers looking to start their own lines, her response required no thought. “Make sure that you are organized and methodical because it becomes extremely helpful when putting together a collection.” With a few collections under her belt, this is essential advice to follow given by an expert in the field.
The presentation on the runway left a lasting impression and thanks go out to the generous sponsors of Luichiny Shoes and Elle Time & Jewelry.
A.Ché Swimwear is becoming a widely recognized brand and women everywhere own at least one swimsuit or beach dress as part of their spring/summer wardrobe.
There could be no better collection to end a stylish and successful week at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim than with A.Ché Swimwear.
