Friends and Fellowship is a digital guide to planting special churches for people with special needs, their families and caregivers, the guide is $3.99 and can be purchased by groups wanting to reach out by holding workshops in their churches or schools (http://store.blurb.com/ebooks/289017-friends-and-fellowship). The idea of the guide is to help churches and church planters to reach out to their communities. This morning in Colorado Springs at Mission Coffee Roasters the 2013-2014 schedule was announced for Friendship Fellowship on the Front Range of Colorado. While the schedule was being announced this morning Vantage Point Inner-City Radio announced that their Chapter X Chapter audio book program will be recording Friends and Fellowship and interview people who have been touched by the ministry. http://www.truli.net/partners/18120/vantage-point-world-media-christian-….
The original Tuesday gathering at 10:30 in Denver was moved from Washington Park Chapel to Pilgrim Congregational Church at 47th and Vine in Elyria/Swansea neighborhoods of Denver. It will begin in September. Friendship Fellowship Church in Colorado Springs will be meeting on Wednesday Nights at Mission Coffee Roasters at 5:30 beginning September 18. Mission is located at Ridgeline Drive and Voyager and just North of New Life Church. A Monday gathering at a Nursing Home in Old Colorado City has been meeting this summer and will continue during the fall. Friendship Fellowship Church at Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs meets at Mosaic and is still determining schedule for the Fall season. There are also overtures to starting a Fellowship in Canyon City and perhaps the Centennial area of Denver. If all of it happens 240 people with special needs will be reached; 240 men and women will be trained; and 63,000 dollars will be raised to start Friendship Fellowship in Orlando, New York, Boston and other major cities as well as expanding Friendship Fellowship along the Front Range of Colorado.
Ministry, Leadership and Communications Institute
The Ministry, Leadership and Communications Institute is a mentoring group of men and women who are planting churches, engaging in missions and ministries in the inner-city. The five points of influence, invitation and impact are 1. Evangelism through missions; 2. Reaching out to the Least of These and people with disabilities through church planting and “progressive street church” ministry; 3. Vantage Point- World Media Christian Approach; 4. Prayer walking and hosting; 5. Community Building and Church Coffee Ministries. “If you look at it carefully you can see five light-houses,” says the Executive Director, Pastor Rich- 1. Mission Point- Evangelism; 2. Friendship Point- The least of These, 3. Vantage Point- Media that feeds a hungry culture; 4. Talking point- dedicated to prayer and urban planning; 5. Unity point- building strong neighborhoods.
