Miracles fill the Holy Bible, and give testimony of God’s infinite power. We read of the miracles in both the old and in the new testaments. Jesus Christ’s ministry was full of miracles. The prophets were often the right hand of God himself through-out the Old Testament. Power over the normal everyday events and situations that occur in our lives, is shown in scripture to be a part of every true believer. The question rides in however, has time and the confusion of multiple doctrines washed away the power from the faithful and created a body of blinded and misguided children that simply don’t understand what it is that they lack.
Without the power of the spirit, walking a spiritual walk could be said to be incomplete at best. What power do I speak of, you ask? I speak of the power to turn water into wine or to raise the dead. To turn a simple walking staff into a venomous snake or to cast ablaze a water drenched pile of wood into a bomb fire as was done against the prophets of Baal. How long has it been since the modern church has seen this power? What are reasons the power isn’t seen as it was? Could it be that the power isn’t taught as it was? Could it be that limiting believers to a fragment of truth also limited them to a fragment of real spiritual power? In this new thing God is about to do, A restoration of power is about to come about. Does that scare you or excite you?
The word power often frightens people for evil often tries to mimic the same power and causes doubt and fear in the undiscerning. In 2 Timothy 3:5 we read this about what we see today in many modern denominations and faiths. It reads,” Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.” The modern world doesn’t except scripture when it refers to power. To believe in such things is said to a manifestation of craziness or simply a fanatic of bizarre proportions. The question we should ask ourselves is. If we don’t except this power as real in the word of God and cant phantom it in each of our own daily lives as children of God, than are we real believers at all?
I am a teacher, yet, I merely teach what it is I hear. A scribe of sorts taking no credit for the words I write but type in obedience to the spirit. Are you ready to walk in the spirit? Does the idea create fear of persecution or ridicule within you? Perhaps it should for even in the Word of God it says to count the cost. We are followers of Christ are we not? In so we walk according to him and his manner. Did he have power? Then so should you. In John 14:12 we read what was said about this. It reads,” Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.”
Simply put, if we are not seeing these things in our lives, something is absent and indeed wrong if we are real believers. The world has needed a new move by the spirit for some time and rest assured it is coming. It will change all that we see in the modern faith and a new group of real spiritually powered individuals will emerge from the depths of doctrinal chaos and will offer unity in spirit and a manifestation of miracles like the world has never seen. It will create a body of believers that will be separate from the world, for their knowledge goes far beyond what the natural eye may see. This world is only one journey of many to come.
Are you ready for this new thing of God? Do you want to be a part? Are you ready to listen to the spirit rather than simply men? I leave you with this. In John 14:26 it reads, “But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you”.
