ABC hasn’t had many cancellations over the last few seasons. The network’s shows seem to do pretty well, and many fans have a few favorites on the network. The cancellations and renewals were announced for ABC, and there are plenty of excited fans. According to an article post May 10 by Entertainment Weekly, ABC decided to cancel “Happy Endings”, “Body of Proof”, “Red Widow”, “Malibu Country”, and “How to Live with Your Parents for the Rest of Your Life.”
Three out of five of the shows were new to the network, which isn’t uncommon when cutting shows. It is surprising that “Body of Proof” was not renewed for a fourth season, but hopefully they will give it a proper send-off. “Red Widow” was a huge surprise, especially being paired on the Sunday line-up with shows like “Once Upon a Time” and “Revenge”, which were both renewed.
The new seasons will start in the fall, and there will definitely be new shows to fill the vacancies the cancelled shows left open. Beginning Sunday May 12, you can catch the season finales of many ABC shows.
