Who is Michael Madison? Michael Madison, 35, is the Ohio man accused of abducting and killing three women. The bodies of these women were found enclosed in trash bags earlier this month.
Police officers discovered these bodies when someone called complaining about a foul odor coming from a garage. Hours later, police “identified Madison as a suspect and went to his mother’s house, where he was arrested after a brief standoff.” Two other bodies were found the next day, said NewsOne.
Therefore, it is not surprising that Madison is being held on a $6 million bond.
On Wednesday, this accused kidnapper and killer pleaded not guilty to killing Shirellda H. Terry, 18, Angela H. Deskins, 38, and Shetisha D. Sheeley, 28..
The charges Madison is facing:
- Six charges of aggravated murder
- Two charges for each victim under different killing speculations
- Three counts of kidnapping
- Three counts of gross abuse of a corpse
- One count of rape
- One count of weapon possession by an ex-convict
In 2002, Madison was classified as a sex offender. He spent four years in prison for attempted rape based on court records from Cuyahoga County. Madison was also convicted in 2000 and 2001 for drug-related charges, said NBCNews.
Other kidnappings in Ohio
Ariel Castro kidnapped three women between 2002 and 2004. The women were in their teens or early 20s, according to the Los Angeles Times. However, May 2013, Gina DeJesus, 23, Michelle Knight, 32, and Amanda Berry, 27, escaped “along with a 6-year-old girl Castro fathered with Berry.”
Castro was arrested on May 6. He pleaded guilty to kidnapping and raping the three women for a decade. Because of his confession, Castro will spend the rest of his life in prison instead of being sentenced to death.
