Everyone, please stop caring about Amanda Bynes. No, that’s not meant to be mean. It’s the new public service announcement posted by the Huffington Post on May 31. The melodramatic black and white is a satirical public service announcement was posted on the You Tube Official Comedy channel.
The message urges everyone to please “stop talking about Amanda Bynes.” The “Hairspray” and former Nickelodeon star has been in the news constantly from one form of “odd” behavior, to twerking out at the gym, to “bong tossing.”
The video goes on to say, “Just think, somewhere, right now, at this very moment, scientists are working to cure cancer,” stated by one of the monotone narrators, “And you just retweeted, ‘I want @drake to murder my vagina,’” another comedian says.
The announcement suggests that instead of spending time worrying so much about Amanda, one should adopt a dog, then get outside and take the dog for a walk. If the dog is not your thing, try binge watching “Breaking Bad,” or even give your parents a call. We’re sure they will appreciate it.
One final thought, “We have the power to end this epidemic … so please, stop caring.”
While the PSA is meant to be funny, it’s also the truth. If the world just stopped caring so much about whether Bynes likes to disco in the middle of her treadmill routine, she might just stop acting out with “bizarre” behavior.
