Pastor Saeed Abedini is an American Pastor imprisoned in Iran for his Christian beliefs. The ACLJ has launched a campaign on behalf of Pastor Saeed. The following information is from the ACLJ websites:
“Iran is imprisoning and abusing an American pastor because of his faith. Iran, home of one of the world’s most radical Islamic regimes, is holding American Pastor Saeed Abedini because he is a Christian, refusing to release him, and subjecting him to unspeakable abuse.
At the ACLJ, we are launching an international campaign to free Pastor Saeed, and we need Americans to mobilize for religious liberty. Urge the President, the State Department, and every Member of Congress to take a stand for an American Christian.”
Pastor Saeed is not someone restricted to a hostile environment by birth. He is an American citizen who has traveled to Iran by choice. Based on the ACLJ Pastor Saeed is suffering physical and mental abuse. Brother Saeed was Muslim; he converted to Christianity in 2000.
Under the Iranian constitution, Muslims who convert to Christianity are discriminated against. They are not allowed to worship with other Christians in established Christian churches; as a result “house” or “underground” churches are established where converts worship together. Paul’s words in 2nd Timothy come to mind.
For that Gospel I am suffering affliction and even wearing chains like a criminal. But the Word of God is not chained or imprisoned. Therefore I am ready to persevere and stand my ground with patience and endure everything for the sake of the elect God’s chosen, so that they too may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus, with the reward of eternal glory 2Timothy 2:9-10 Amplified Bible
Jordan Sekulow writes: It began last week. American Pastor Saeed Abedini, who is serving an eight-year prison term in Iran because of his Christian faith, has been suffering from internal bleeding for months – injuries received from the beatings in prison. In what could only be viewed as a cruel act of psychological abuse, prison officials took Pastor Saeed to a hospital last week – only to be turned away – and brought back to Evin prison without receiving medical treatment for his internal bleeding.
Saeed is the name of someone that you have been given information on regarding his current circumstances. Hopefully the video will changes that. Please take a moment to meet the person Saeed Abedini, see his family and hear his heart.

Iran’s radical and violent jihadist regime is persecuting an American pastor for exercising his fundamental right to religious freedom.
