Angus T. Jones will not be back as Jake Harper on the hit CBS sitcom “Two and a Half Men.” The actor, who reportedly earned approximately $350,000 per episode last season, will be replaced by a female character.
CBS has renewed “Two and a Half Men” for an eleventh season, and Ashton Kutcher and Jon Cryer are slated to return. However, Us Weekly reported on May 31 that Angus T. Jones character Jake Harper will return as a guest star. Jake Harper will be replaced by a female character.
The female character role has not been filled, but the newcomer will be in her late teens or early twenties. The young lady may be the off-spring of the departed Charlie Harper, who was portrayed by Charlie Sheen until he was fired following the ninth season of “Two and a Half Men.”
In November 2012, Angus begged fans to stop watching “Two and a Half Men,” calling it “filth.” A source says that Jones want to focus on his music career. Reportedly CBS tried to keep Angus Jones from leaving the show, but “he was just done done, “a source told Us Weekly.
