We’ve watched Angus T. Jones grow through the years from the awkward pudgy boy to the tall strapping young man sans the baby fat that he is today. But after 10 seasons on the CBS sitcom “Two and a Half Men”, Angus T. Jones will be leaving and replaced by a female series regular in the upcoming season, reported US Weekly on May 30, 2013.
Who is this person that is replacing Angus T. Jones? This new role is described as a girl in her late teens or early 20s who comes looking for her father, according to Deadline. The girl shows up on Walden Schmidt’s (Ashton Kutcher) and Alan Harper ‘s (Jon Cryer) doorstep claiming to be the daughter of the late Charlie Harper (Charlie Sheen).
“Two and a Half Men” has seen its share of controversy and shakeups in the last few seasons. From Charlie Sheen’s 2011 public meltdown (which consequently led to his firing from the show) to Angus T. Jones’ YouTube video lambasting “Two and a Half Men” last November; the show seems to handle shakeups rather smoothly.
In the YouTube video Angus T. Jones called “Two and a Half Men,” “filth” and asked viewers to stop watching. Though he later apologized for his actions, rumors have still been swirling regarding his status on the show.
The thought where once a major character is replaced in a television show usually marks the death for the series has been running through people’s minds. Audiences will find out this fall whether Angus T. Jones’ replacement will be the beginning of something beautiful or the end of something that’s been dragged through the ringer.
