Arcade Fire will finally return to the road in early 2014.
According to an article posted July 30 at NME.com, the Canuck indie rockers will head to Australia in January as part of Big Day Out touring festival.
The Grammy Award winning Montreal based band, who have been busy working on their fourth studio album, will join co-headliners Pearl Jam and Blur for the tour, which kicks off Jan. 17 in Auckland, AU at Western Springs Stadium and wraps up Feb. 2 Perth, AU at Claremont Showgrounds.
The line up also includes: Major Lazer, Snoop Dogg, Tame Impala and DIIV.

Jan. 19 Gold Coast, AU – Metricon Stadium.
Jan. 24 Melbourne, AU – Flemington Racecourse.
Jan. 26 – 27 Sydney, AU – Sydney Showgrounds.
Jan. 31 Adelaide, AU – Bonython Park.

Arcade Fire’s much anticipated follow up to their hugely successful 2010 release “The Suburbs” will hit shelves on Oct. 29.
The band’s last live gig was in December, 2012 under the alias “Les Identiks,” at which they previewed several new songs during a private show at the Breakglass studio in Montreal.
