Adam Kokesh has made himself famous by proposing an armed protest march starting at the Arlington National Cemetery and crossing the Memorial Bridge into Washington, DC. He has been warned that he and anyone else who attempts this will be arrested, but he is seemingly undeterred. According to his Facebook page, Kokesh states:
On the morning of July 4, 2013, Independence Day, we will muster at the National Cemetery & at noon we will step off to march across the Memorial Bridge, down Independence Avenue, around the Capitol, the Supreme Court, & the White House, then down Constitution Avenue to peacefully return to Virginia across the Memorial Bridge. This is an act of civil disobedience, not a permitted event. We will march with rifles loaded & slung across our backs to put the government on notice that we will not be intimidated & cower in submission to tyranny. We are marching to mark the high water mark of government & to turn the tide. This will be a non-violent event, unless the government chooses to make it violent. Should we meet physical resistance, we will peacefully turn back, having shown that free people are not welcome in Washington, & return with the resolve that the politicians, bureaucrats, & enforcers of the federal government will not be welcome in the land of the free.
Kokesh makes it sound like he is one of your genuine, stand up patriots, taking a brave action against the oppressive government. While there is no doubt that the government is becoming increasingly oppressive under president Obama, and Obama’s intentions for the Second Amendment are both unconstitutional and evil, Adam Kokesh is not the person to be leading this or any other protest, armed or otherwise.
Kokesh has been outed by Cliff Kincaid a while ago as a “Paid Russian agent and Russia TV host,” and Kokesh’s other associations confirm that he is no patriot. Kokesh is a member of Iraq Veterans Against the War, a copycat of the radical left Vietnam Veterans Against the War, the anti-American, anti-military group that current Secretary of State John Kerry joined.
Kokesh is visible in a photo sitting with Code Pink co-founder, the radical leftist Medea Benjamin at a public rally in this post, here. We have provided a particularly poignant photo of the kinds of things Code Pink stands for. Among other things, Kokesh participated in a protest intended to desecrate the Vietnam Veterans Memorial with spray paint.
Kokesh has also been affiliated with many other radical leftist groups as well as the Muslim Brotherhood. The Oath Keepers have now disassociated themselves with him and advise against joining this march.
This is an operation that will discredit 2nd Amendment advocates. That was almost certainly its intention all along.
