A few months back I was having a hard time sleeping. My coworker recommend that I check out something called a spoonk mat. It is like an at home acupuncture. The spoonk mat is great for sleep issues but especially for sore muscles. When my muscles are tight and sore I like to lay on the the mat for 10 – 20 minutes. I couldn’t lay on it bare back at first. I had to get used to the feeling of being on the mat. It is recommended to use a thin piece of fabric, so I would wear a thin shirt and lay on the mat. Eventually, I worked my way up to bareback for 20 minutes. The plastic bed of nails basically brings blood to areas that need it. I do a lot of core workouts so my back gets pretty tight, same with my hamstrings so I lay on it for my back and the back of my legs. It brings the blood to my sore muscles to help them recover faster. It helps relieve the soreness and tightness so I can continue to workout on a daily basis. I definitely recommend trying the spoonk mat out, see if it can make a difference for you.
