The Bible says we can know when the rapture is near, even at the door. Jesus said there would signs in the sun, the moon and the stars. There are a tremendous amount of upcoming signs for the Month of May, 2013. So with the evidence presented here, could May 2013 be the appointed time for the rapture of the church?
To start with there are a growing number of people having dreams about the moon. In just about every dream, they are looking at the moon and then the rapture occurs. So clearly the Lord is trying to tell us that there will be a sign in the moon.
The Bible says in Revelation that the sun will turn dark and the moon will turn to blood before the great and terrible day of the Lord. On the Lord’s feast days in 2014-2015 there will be four back to back blood red moons. Blood red moons are a very rare event. In fact in the past 500 years since they were recorded, it only happened four times. Each time, there was a war or a change involving Israel. In 1948, when there were four blood red moons, Israel became a nation. The next time this occurred it was 1967 and Israel fought a six day war and won the battle for Jerusalem and each time, Biblical prophecy had taken place. So when the first blood red moon appears in April 2014, many Christians believe there will be a war with Israel that will be the tribulation period. And when you trace that back from the end date of 3 1/2 years to the end date of October 2015, as this is when the last blood red moon occurs, and would be considered the middle of the tribulation, then the rapture would have to start in the Spring of 2013. There is more compelling evidence that the rapture will start this spring and in fact it could very likely start this month of May. But what else does the Bible say about the moons? Is there a rapture reference there?
1 Samuel 20:5
“And David said to Jonathan, “Indeed tomorrow is the New Moon, and I should not fail to sit with the King to eat. But let me go that I may hide in the field until the third day at evening.”
1 Samuel 20:18
Then Johnathan said to David “Tomorrow is the New Moon; and you will be missed, because your seat will be empty.
There are two possible references here to the rapture that could take place on the New Moon. “I should not fail to sit with the King to eat”, is possibly referring to the wedding supper of the Lamb that takes place during the rapture. “And you will be missed because your seat is empty”, is also a reference to the rapture because as the New Moon occurs you will disappear. So could these two verses be a message telling us that the rapture will occur on the New Moon?
In May, the New Moon occurs on the 9th. Interestingly enough May 9th going into May 10th is also and eclipse of the sun. It’s called a wedding ring eclipse because as the moon passes in front of the sun, it creates a halo that looks like a wedding ring. So could this also be a reference to the rapture and the bride of Christ?
Also May 9th is the Day of Ascension. This day occurs 39 days after Easter. It is called the Day of Ascension because this is the day that Jesus ascended up into heaven. So Could May 9th, the day of Ascension for Jesus also be the Christians day of Ascension or another words, the rapture of the church?
Pentecost is also soon to come. It happens on May 15th and is also known as the Feast of First Fruits to the Jewish People. Many Christians believe that the first fruits in the Bible is referring to the ones that will be raptured, the bride of Christ. Also the Jewish people have always celebrated the Feast of First Fruits or to Christians the Pentecost, exactly 50 days after the start of Passover. This is supposedly done so that the wheat would have time to ripen. In the Bible, Jesus refers to the Wheat as the good Christians when he says he will separate the wheat from the tares. So the fact that the Jews allow 50 days until Pentecost for the wheat to ripen could be a reference to when the Christians would be ready for the rapture on Pentecost.
There is so much compelling evidence here that the rapture could happen very soon, in fact sometime specifically in the month of May. Get your heart ready for Jesus, because he is coming soon! Ask him to forgive you of your sins, because you don’t want to be left behind to suffer the tribulation of the world. Ask him into your heart today before it’s too late!
