Tonight’s live eviction episode of Big Brother opened with Julie and the live audience in the studio. Julie explained that as MVP, America first selected Aaryn to be nominated for eviction, but when she was nominated by Judd, Elissa took her spot as a nominee and America’s second choice. When she won the Veto and removed herself, America’s third choice for a nominee, GinaMarie, went up on the block.
Aaryn went to Judd to try and get him to keep her there. She offered safety to him and Jessie and reminded them that GinaMarie has been very negative, and Kaitlin has been a strong competitor. Helen interrupted their chat, and Elissa joined them once Aaryn left so the group could decide how to vote. Judd said Aaryn has said a lot of bad things, but Kaitlin is clearly the stronger competitor. Helen and Elissa wanted to vote Aaryn out since she was after them. Jessie thought Kaitlin was more of a snake in the grass.
Downstairs, Judd talked to Candice and Howard. Judd felt it might be smarter to keep Aaryn, even though they all liked Kaitlin much better.
Aaryn asked Helen how to earn Elissa’s trust and wondered if she should throw HoH or put up whoever they wanted if she won. Helen said she would talk to Elissa, but Elissa wasn’t sure they could trust her. Helen thought she was telling the truth. Elissa wasn’t sure she could get past Aaryn’s derogatory racial comments.
Judd, Helen, Andy, and Jessie shared a quick meeting in the backyard and decided they couldn’t reveal their plan to vote Kaitlin out to Howard and Spencer. Judd came clean about developing a five-person alliance of the “outsiders.”
Helen told Amanda and Elissa what she heard about the new alliance and asked them not to tell anyone. Naturally, Elissa went to Kaitlin and asked if she made a deal with Howard and Spencer. Kaitlin denied it, and Elissa wondered if it was Aaryn spreading the rumor. Aaryn overheard the conversation from the bathroom, so she pulled Helen aside to tell her.
Meanwhile, Kaitlin went outside to tell Howard and Spencer what Elissa said, and Helen confronted Elissa in front of GinaMarie and Judd. Aaryn walked in the room, followed by Kaitlin, so they brought Howard and Spencer in. Aaryn and Elissa continued to argue, since Aaryn couldn’t figure out why Elissa was talking about her. Elissa told Aaryn to get a life, and no one really solved anything.
Julie spoke to the houseguests and wished McCrae a happy birthday and asked if he could ever top this year’s celebration. He said he couldn’t. They then showed the houseguests footage of the Have/Have Not frozen yogurt competition, and Julie asked GinaMarie about the habanero flavor. She said she took one for the team.
Julie gave Aaryn, Kaitlin, and GinaMarie the chance to speak. Aaryn reminded everyone how much she wanted to be there, she learned a lot, and she would respect their decision. Kaitlin thanked her family and friends and told the others it was great getting to know them…and she would respect their decision. GinaMarie thanked her friends and family and said she has grown to love everyone and blew kisses to Nick, telling him she missed him. (Run like the wind, Nick!)
Next, it was time to vote. In the first unanimous vote of the season, everyone voted to evict Kaitlin. She only hugged GinaMarie on her way out and didn’t even talk to anyone else. Outside the house, Kaitlin told Julie people lied to her, even though she wasn’t necessarily mad at anyone. She was hurt by Andy, because she thought he had her back. Julie asked what changed, and Kaitlin said she aligned herself with people that made her look like the bigger threat. Julie told her America was calling her alliance the “mean girls.” Kaitlin felt Aaryn’s behavior rubbed off on her, but she had a lot of fun, even though she aligned herself with “really catty girls.” She wasn’t sure where things would go in her relationship with Jeremy. In the good-bye messages, Helen told Kaitlin she was sorry, but Aaryn gave them a deal they couldn’t resist; Candice told her she was a super sweet girl and was probably leaving because of her relationship with Jeremy; Judd wished they could have worked together sooner so he could have fought for her more; and Aaryn was glad to have made a good friend.
The HoH Competition was called “Roulette Me Win.” Each houseguest had to roll their ball onto a giant roulette wheel to try and get the highest number. Andy got a 23, McCrae got 28, GinaMarie got a 3, Candice got 27, Spencer got 34, Aaryn got 36, Howard got 17, Jessie got 2, Helen got 28, Amanda got 1, and Elissa got 0, making Aaryn the new HoH. To us, Julie revealed that America would be the MVP this week and once again, choose the third nominee.
Julie sat down with Jeff Schroeder and asked about the deal Aaryn cut with Helen, but he didn’t think Aaryn would hold up her deal. He thought she should hold up her end of the deal, but that never worked for him, so maybe she shouldn’t. Jeff thought there was a better chance to take someone out with three nominees this season. Julie asked what the houseguests must be thinking about the MVP, since they still don’t know it has been America. Jeff said you just go crazy in the house. Julie asked about his relationship with Jordan, and he said they are almost engaged. Jeff said he was pulling for McCrae in the competition before the show ended.
