The cast and crew of “Boardwalk Empire” were seen filming segments for the upcoming fourth season in the Staten Island town of Stapleton, according to a July 30 report from the Staten Island Advance.
Not much detail was given in the report, as to exactly what scenes were being filmed. All that is mentioned is that they filmed on Monday, July 29, and were “scheduled to continue Tuesday,” July 30.
The report also mentioned the names of the areas in which filming was taking place. Those areas were St. Paul’s Avenue, Beach Street, Occident Avenue, Union Place, Bay Street, and Water Street.
Instagram user jojocee_13 was able to capture a photo of one spot where filming occurred. In the photo, we see a man in the passenger seat of a 1920s vehicle. It’s hard to tell who the man is, but it almost looks like he might just be an extra. The photo can be viewed here.
