Celebrating 10 years as an unparalleled travel destination on the East Coast, Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa along with Live Nation Entertainment announced a unique concert celebration featuring The Roots with Jill Scott and special guests Slash & Aziz Ansari on Monday, July 1st at 8 p.m. in the Event Center.
“It has been an incredible 10 years during which Borgata has developed and evolved into the market-leading destination resort we are today,” Borgata President and Chief Operating Officer, Tom Ballance, told The Examiner. “What better way to commemorate this special time in our history than with an eclectic, fun-filled concert which truly encompasses so many of the legendary performances here at Borgata over the past decade.”
The exclusive and energetic concert will kick off a week of property-wide events. Visitors will have the opportunity to participate in everything from exciting gaming promotions and social media contests to unbelievable nightlife events as only Borgata can offer.
Borgata’s 10th anniversary concert is an integral part of an already stellar summer entertainment lineup featuring the likes of Sting, Tim Allen, Jerry Seinfeld, Imagine Dragons, The Jonas Brothers and John Mayer. The calendar is further bolstered by over a dozen shows going on sale Memorial Day Weekend including The Wanted, Diana Ross, Styx, Earth Wind & Fire, Artie Lange, Howie Mandel and others. .
After igniting Atlantic City’s revival with its 2003 opening as the first new property in 13 years, Borgata has experienced a decade of overwhelming popularity. Presenting a destination designed to rival those once found only in Las Vegas with world-class entertainment; celebrity chef restaurants such as Bobby Flay Steak and Wolfgang Puck American Grille; 2,000 lavishly appointed guestrooms and suites; and exciting nightlife options such as MIXX and mur.mur all under one roof. The debut of the $400 million Water Club at Borgata in 2008 raised the bar and marked an evolution in the rebirth of Atlantic City. Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa also has announced the addition of The BURLESQUE Show, a fun, flirtatious variety performance, presented exclusively at Borgata’s Music Box theatre every Thursday beginning today, June 6 and running through August 29, 2013.
The BURLESQUE Show is an updated, stylish tribute to a 1940’s era Burlesque routine featuring a talented, sexy, hilarious cast of dancers and comedians, along with a multitude of sparkling rhinestone trimming and tassels from the stars of the show – the burlesque performers. This highly entertaining, fast-paced revue frames classic vaudeville blackout skits and unique variety acts with burlesque-themed dance production numbers, featuring star entertainers from around the globe.

The productions 1940’s inspired style, look, and feel incorporates an enjoyable mix of burlesque and comedy along with beautiful dancers in a range of classic to contemporary burlesque show numbers intermingled with top notch variety and burlesque performers. The show will replace Borgata’s Comedy Club on Thursday evenings from June through August.
