Tonight Bravo gave “Real Housewives of New Jersey” fans a sneak peek into the season that starts tomorrow night. Although the mini-show was only eleven minutes long, it gave viewers a chance to whet their appetite, as if it needed any whetting.
The first few seconds keyed in on Teresa Giudice and how she acted during last season. The blubber comment to Caroline on the reunion show, the appearance of a man who said Melissa used to dance for him, and the accusations that Joe Giudice had sex with someone on his desk were the introductary remarks from last season.
Now the new season opens in November of 2012 in Seaside Heights, N.J. with the roller coaster in the ocean as Kathy and Richie are driving there and see the National Guard patrolling the streets. Then Teresa is driving her car as she views the devastation and Melissa and Joe in their car viewing their beloved New Jersey left in ruins.
Caroline and Jacqueline lost power and a few trees, but nothing like the shore homes of their friends. Melissa grew up “down the shore” and they have a second home there. As Melissa and Joe enter their home, the furniture is upended and the smell is that of seawater that will soon turn to mold.
As Teresa views her home, the same thing occurs. She thanks God that it is her second home and reflects on those who lost everything. Joe and his workers were already there working to remove the parts of the house that were under water. Teresa recalled that last year was the worst for their marriage and the reiteration of the comment Joe made to a friend about her played again, as if fans need a reminder of what he called her. Now she says that they are closer than ever.
As Joe asked her if she heard from her brother, she told fans that he texted her telling her that she was dead to him, and Melissa told her that she would never see their kids again. Joe Gorga told fans as they left their devastated shore home, that he had not heard from his sister in over a year.
Next, Bravo gave viewers the new introduction featuring all the housewives. As Teresa and her children gathering clothes and toys to donate to the victims of Hurricane Sandy, Milania asked Teresa about her uncle and aunt and her cousins and when she would see them again, and the pensive look on Teresa’s face let fans know that she misses them too.
