I had the opportunity to spend some time at, and tour the brand new Callaway Fitting Studio, a Callaway Performance Center located at Brookfield Country Club in Roswell and it’s impressive.
Brookfield’s PGA Professionals Michael Parrott and Tim Crandall oversee all the technology and action that happens at the center, which is now open to the public.
Bill Houck, one of the owners of Brookfield couldn’t be more pleased with the facility they now have.
“(This) is one of the country’s elite facilities that provide world class instruction and premium fitting experiences,” explains Houck. “At our Callaway Fitting Studio you’ll be fit using FlightScope, one of the industry’s leading launch monitors.”
This is really one-stop shopping for golfers in North Fulton, and even for out of towners that are attracted to the club because of Callaway.
In addition to instruction, they offer a wide selection of club head models, shafts, shaft flexes and lengths to find the clubs that best fit your game. Parrott and Crandall will analyze and review real-time data on your ball launch characteristics and recommend the proper clubs based on your performance and preferences. They use this data to help you break 80, 90, 100 or whatever your goal is.
“It’s great because it’s able to be used in any weather, any temperature and the technology we have at out disposal is the most current available,” adds Crandall.
Golfers will get instant video feedback on their swing and how they can improve it. The data is stored securely on the internet and they can refer back to it, time and time again to see how they are doing.
The Studio has two hitting bays, and even though this is really a high tech haven, golfers will not be intimidated as the environment is comfortable and welcoming, as are Parrott, a former college teammate of Bubba Watson and Crandall, who brings years of experience to this endeavor.
Houck said the Callaway Fitting Studio was an investment the club had to make.
“Both Michael Parrott and Tim Crandall have extensive experience in teaching at all levels. The age of our membership was a factor as well. We are a very young club and we promote junior activities at all levels. We sponsor two high school golf teams, Blessed Trinity and Roswell High. Both of which have had very good seasons and have had all their players go through an evaluation in our center.”
The fact that there is no other facility like this in the state of Georgia was another factor.
“It became a no-brainer for us to spend the money to get this center done. We have given hundreds of lessons, sold lots of equipment but most importantly we have golfers that are much better than they were before they started the process. We are promoting golf at the purest level, knowledge of game and how to get better quickly which in turn leads to increased participation and excitement. The center has the ability to fit clubs as well as be the host point for lessons, (being indoors does not hurt either). We have reached out to the First Tee Program as well and outfitted a young man with new clubs which has really fired him up about golf.”
Golfers of all levels need to get out and give the Callaway Fitting Studio at Brookfield Country Club in Roswell a try.
