Are Brooks and Desiree over?
After the handsome 28-year old went home after admitting he’s not in love with Des during part one of The Bachelorette 2013 finale on July 29, it would sure seem that way.
However, Bachelorette spoilers from Reality Steve (who always seems to have the inside scoop on these things way before they play out on national television) have been saying it will be Brooks and Desiree who get engaged on the season finale for weeks, months even. So, what gives?
Also, scroll down to get the scoop on what Chris Harrison said about Brooks and Des on Good Morning, America on Tuesday morning!
Bachelorette Spoilers: Who Does Desiree Pick Now That Brooks Is Gone?
On this week’s episode, Desiree Hartsock was all smiles as she contemplated her “fairy tale” life aboard a sailboat just offshore in the Caribbean. With several beautiful days in Antigua in front of her and her final three suitors as company, things were looking great for Des as she approached the Bachelorette 2013 finale.
Desiree looked forward to one-on-one time with Chris, Drew and especially Brooks. She got her dates with Chris and Drew, and they seemed pretty romantic (in both cases, the couples made unspecified use of the Fantasy Suite), but her reality TV fantasy was about to come crashing down around her.
As soon as Brooks got to the island, he broke up with Des after admitting to having serious doubts about his feelings for her. While he said there were things he loved about her, he wouldn’t or couldn’t say he was in love with her. Brooks and Desiree always seemed to have good chemistry, but even Des pointed out in voice-over during part one of The Bachelorette 2013 finale (July 29) that he’s one of the only guys to not have said those three little words.
Though Brooks left Des high and dry in Antigua on Monday’s episode, many fans still feel Reality Steve has it right with his Bachelorette spoilers. One long-time viewer told us they felt confident things aren’t over between Brooks and Desiree. “Brooks will be back next week, with more apologies and a proposal – bet on it. Otherwise, I don’t see Desiree getting engaged at all. I don’t think Reality Steve came out of nowhere with his information, so either someone finally pulled one over on him or this will all pan out next week.”
Host Chris Harrison appeared on Good Morning, America on July 30 to discuss what happened during part one of The Bachelorette finale on Monday night, calling it “good stuff” even though most of the episode focused on Des getting her heart broken on national television.
Could Harrison’s flippant attitude suggest all ends up working out well for Des in the end? In the promos, we see a lovelorn Des looking out on the water in a pretty, gauzy maxi dress, seemingly convinced her journey for love is over even though two men she has led on for months remain ready and waiting to propose marriage. Stay tuned for the conclusion of The Bachelorette finale (Season 9) next week on ABC to see what happens!
