The Bruxie gourmet waffle brand is expanding again with the opening of its sixth location in Southern California. The latest Bruxie will open Aug. 6 in Irvine at the Heritage Plaza Center, 14376 Culver Dr. This marks five locations in Orange County and one in Chino Hills.
This is Bruxie’s sixth location in two and a half years. Concept creators, chefs and partners are Dean Simon and Kelly Mullarney. The original location in Old Towne Orange opened in 2010.
The opening of the Irvine locations comes on the heels of its fifth Bruxie at The Strand on 5th in Huntington Beach in April.
“We opened our first location with confidence in our concept, but we had no idea the sensation that Bruxie would become, so we are continually looking for ways to better serve our guests,” said Simon. He notes that Bruxie has become something truly noteworthy as the following grows.
“Bruxie prides itself on truly unique offerings. We have gained a reputation for our waffle, which is crispy, light and yeasty,” said Simon. “We also are known for pure cane sugar fountain sodas and real Wisconsin frozen custard, the base of our shakes, floats and desserts.”
All Bruxie locations, including the upcoming Irvine location, feature indoor and outdoor seating. The menu features authentic Belgian waffles as well as salads. Nothing on the menu exceeds $10.
Bruxie offers a new take on The Sandwich. Varieties include Buttermilk Fried Chicken, Prosciutto & Gruyere and sweet versions such as Nutella & Banana and S’Mores.
