Bucket list jail time: According to a May 31, 2013 report at Yahoo! News, two friends were put in jail as a result of a bucket list venture. Yahoo! News reports “two longtime friends ended up in jail in central Florida thanks to a ‘bucket list’ that included stealing from a store.”
Authorities say 36-year-old Andrea Mobley and 38-year-old Jennifer Morrow stole bathing suits and beef jerky during a trip to a Central Florida Wal-Mart. The two say they only stole the items to check off part of a bucket list they were completing.
A Wal-Mart loss prevention officer spotted Mobley eating beef jerky while in the store, as Morrow was concealing items inside her purse. The bucket list adventure came to an end when the thieving duo were detained after leaving the store without paying for the items.
Police say the women “hadn’t seen each other in years and stealing from a retail store was on [a]”bucket list.” Mobley says she’s ashamed of her actions, adding they were “two stupid women” doing something they hadn’t ever done before.
What are your thoughts on these women who stole from a store, and ended up in jail, while trying to complete a bucket list?
