“Is this the state of affairs in modern-day Britain?“
While attempting to raise money for a child with cancer, the two leaders of an anti-Islamic Jihad group in Great Britain were arrested after one of them was assaulted in a predominantly Muslim populated London borough, resulting in one of the duo accusing the London police of knowingly enforcing Islamic Sharia’a Law, as reported by Sky News (of Great Britain) on June 29, 2013.
The co-founders of the English Defence League (EDL), Tommy Robinson and Kevin Carroll were attempting to simultaneously raise money for a young girl diagnosed with cancer, not quite 2-years-old Amelia-Mae Olwen Davies, as well as eventually make it to the cite of a wreath laying ceremony where Muslim terrorists publically beheaded British soldier Drummer (Private) Lee Rigby on May 22, 2013.
Amelia-Mae was recently diagnosed with stage 4 neuroblastoma.
A large tumor was found in her abdomen as well as more tumors in her liver, glands and bones including her skull and bone marrow.
Her parents are attempting to raise funds for her best shot at survival (20 percent, at best) with treatment in the United States.
According to Amelia-Mae’s UK Team website, the family’s goal is slightly over $380,000 of which they have only garnered slightly less than $185,000.
Secure internet donations for the Davies family can be made here. U.S. dollars are accepted.
Back To The Streets Of London…
During the course of their six mile trek, Robinson and Carroll were continually shadowed by the London Bobbies.
As reported by Sky Correspondent Tom Parmenter, the police repeatedly warned them that if they were to walk past the massive East London mosque or through the heavily-Muslim populated London borough of Tower Hamlets, they “may be arrested.”
As an incredulous Robinson queried of the Bobbies if they would really be arrested, an unknown individual assaulted Carroll by striking him on the face. (See video, left.)
It was at this point where the two marchers were arrested for “obstructing senior officers in their attempt to keep the peace.”
A stunned Kevin Carroll stated to the arresting officer:
So we’ve been arrested for having a charity walk for a dying child on Armed Forces Day.
Carroll wasn’t quite done when he asked;
Are you having a laugh?
Is this the state of affairs in modern-day Britain?
As Robinson was handcuffed, he shouted at the Metropolitan Police:
You are enforcing Sharia’a Law.
He also asked rhetorically of the police:
Is this freedom in the year 2013 in London?
Long accused of being anti-Muslim and Fascists by political opponents in both the United Kingdom and the United States, the EDL openly states on their official website that they stand against the spread of fundamentalist Sharia’a Law and pro-Jihad elements from gaining prominence in Britain.
The organization has also cited in the past that they have members who are Jewish, Hindu, Sikh, as well as members of the LGBT community.
