A car crashes a daycare wall, pinning two of the three small children injured in the crash between the car and a wall. Thanks to the people who happened to be in the area of the daycare at the time, one of the kids was pulled from the wreckage shortly after the crash occurred. According to The Inquisitr on July 31, a 79-year-old man was driving a SUV that hit a Cadillac Seville, sending that car through the wall of the daycare, located on the eastside of Kansas City.
It was a “close call” as the daycare was filled with kids at the time the car came crashing through the wall. The car smashed its way through the wall where the 2-year-old room is located during the afternoon on Tuesday.
Mamie Maranney got a frightening phone call from her 7-year-old son, who was at the daycare at the time of the crash. Right after the car came through the wall it briefly caught on fire. She said her son Daniel said, “You have to come, a car ran into the daycare.”
Folks, who were in the area of the crash when it happened, came running to help, including an off-duty police department employee. The group of people cleared the debris away and were able to free tow of the kids. The other child was freed with the Jaws of Life once the firefighters arrived.
Three kids were taken to the hospital, with two released after treatment. The third child was kept in the hospital for observation after suffering a fractured hip. The driver of the SUV that caused the crash was also hospitalized.
