Jurors in the murder trial of George Zimmerman resumed discussions today as they deliberate whether the neighborhood watch volunteer acted in self defense when he fatally shot 17-year-old Trayvon Martin.
While people have gathered outside the courthouse awaiting the verdict, some black conservatives are expressing their views such as Black Conservative radio host, Carl Boyd Jr. of the Truth Report, who stated today in a short release, “If the head is split, you must acquit. Zimmerman should be acquitted today based on the evidence & Florida law.”
Boyd said, “The George Zimmerman case was forced to court from day one when President Obama interjected himself in it by saying “If I had a son, he would look like Trayvon.”
“Then came the race-baiters Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, and the New Black Panther Party proclaiming Zimmerman killed Trayvon because he was black. What about the evidence? What about investigating the situation?” Boyd said.
“This case was rushed to judgment by the racial and political fleas in our society.”
Last year, Jack Cashill of the American Thinker posted and re-posted on July 4, 2013,“What the Media Choose Not to Know about Trayvon” in which he revealed the media’s attempt to cover-up the facts and distort the George Zimmerman and Trayvon Martin case.
“Unnerved by an unspoken mix of political bias and racial queasiness, the major media have chosen to know as little about Trayvon Martin as they know about Barack Obama.”
“Media obfuscation may still work in the court of public opinion — it got Obama elected in 2008 — but it will not work in a court of law. The truth will out. When it does, the major media will lose a good chunk of whatever credibility they have left, and our nation may lose a good chunk of its urban real estate.”
In relaying the same sediments, Carl Boyd said, “Here is what we know. Zimmerman followed Trayvon because of past break-ins in the community. He called 911 to report someone strolling through the community. After the 911 operator asked him some questions, Zimmerman said he is running. The 911 operator asked are you following him and Zimmerman said yes.”
“The 911 operator said we don’t need you to do that and Zimmerman responded by saying ok.”
“From that time, Zimmerman had stopped trying to follow Trayvon. According to Zimmerman he was on his way back to his car and Trayvon confronted him and threw the first punch. That is where the entire situation changed its nature,” Boyd said.
Boyd further explained that a fight broke out between them and according to one of the prosecution witnesses, Trayvon was on top of Zimmerman raining down blows.
“This confirms the Zimmerman’s story. In fear of being beaten to death Zimmerman, shot Trayvon,” Boyd said.
“There are many questions that should be asked.”
“One that is puzzling me could it have been that Zimmerman and Trayvon were both profiling each other?” Boyd said. “Zimmerman sees a young teenager with a hoodie walking in the community which had been riddled with crime late at night and Trayvon sees Zimmerman as he described on the phone with Rachel Jeantel ”a creepy ass cracker”.”
Boyd remarked, “We must look at the evidence and Florida law. We cannot and should not let feelings and emotions get in the way of the evidence. It is unfortunate that a young man was killed. I believe the question we should be asking is what can we learn from this situation that went bad. My heart goes out to Trayvon’s family because they lost a son and brother. My heart goes out to the Zimmerman and his family because his life will never the same.”
“The bottom line is the evidence favors Zimmerman.”
In related stories, news has been spreading about possible riots if George Zimmerman is acquitted and as a result, a YouTube user posted his thoughts titled, “Before You Negroe’s Go Out And Riot…Remember This……..”
