Charmcity owner Jason Chapman grew up skateboarding with Viva La Bam and Jack Ass star Brandon Novak. Brandon has had an interesting life to say the least. Sponsored at age 9 about to turn pro for one of the biggest skateboarding companies (Powell Peralta) in the world at age 15. Somewhere along the lines Brandon’s priorities changed from skating to partying. That lifestyle caught up with him quick and soon he was a full blown heroin addict. With some help from his childhood friend super star Bam Margera, Brandon straightened his life out. He even got a book published titled “Dream Seller“! This engrossing tale of a skateboarding child prodigy gone wrong is the subject of a new documentary. The film titled “Where is my Needle? The Brandon Novak Story should be completed June 2014. Just in time for the Sundance film festival.
While at Bam’s house filming for The Brandon Novak Story Jason Chapman and crew took a few minutes to skate Bam’s private skatepark in West Chester, Pennsylvania. The clip stars Myles Willard, Kyle Genung and Charmcity team riders Mike Bloodsworth, Kyle Flegel and Justin Lennon! It was filmed by Mike Bloodsworth and Charmcity owner Jason Chapman. Jason edited the clip.
“Going to Bam’s is always a good time. You really never know what to expect! As soon as the gates open and you drive down the rainbow road to the compound there is usually something brewing! Big thanks to Bam for helping with the documentary (The Brandon Novak Story) and letting us get our skate on at his park!” – Jason Chapman The Charmcity Skatepark
