Focus on affirming the good in the perceived other and in this world.
Does this take practice?
Sure it does.
This is a choice, a choice that more and more of us have and are coming to in our lives.
Make the choice.
People are inspiring, amazing, loving, colorful, strong and most of all they are learning.
We are all learning, experiencing and be-ing.
If a person is behaving in a way that upsets you, rather, that you have allowed to upset you, look to the solution.
The solution lies, above all, in your Self.
Why has this person’s behavior upset you? What can you do, if you choose to do anything, that is pro-active?
Rather than stewing and getting upset about the behavior, what can you do to behave from a place of awareness yourself?
Your response, silent as it may be, can be the greatest of light bearers for another soul who is currently meandering around in the dark.
What action can you take that will not proliferate the cycle of ignorance?
We can react, which makes us a part of the cycle, or we can choose to act consciously.
Practice. Practice. Practice.
Nevermind whether the perceived other “gets it” or not. Do this for yourself.
Whether performing an action that we think of as for ourselves or for others, it is the same thing, regardless of our realization of this truth.
We are given many moments to teach ourselves these truths, that we may open our own eyes to the beauty that is all around us.
Sure, the other “stuff” is a part of this realm of learning, and so? Why lend more focus in that direction? Shift your focal point.
The nature of life is the nature of life. It has always been what it IS now.
In life there are ups and there are downs, there are births and there are deaths. One of the greatest gifts that we can share/receive is to teach ourselves to walk through all of life in a state of even-mindedness.
There are many quotes flying around on the internet that affirm things such as, “Few Are They…” on and on. Change the word few to “Many Are They”…just try it! See how such a shift in attention can transform your world and the way you choose to walk through it each and every day.
There are many aware and loving souls all around us.
Focus on the good and you will come to see how many great souls surround you all of the time.
Meditation: “Ignorance is the mis-identification of the spirit with the earthly.”
