Some people have a vast misunderstanding of the copyright issues. I am going to use as an example again is the person the readership calls 32. I am sure if they ever read this they will cringe and not think it is a good idea. It has several examples to share with people. Well sorry about that. There is another reason, the real estate infringement cases have already started and are in the hands of their corporate attorneys. The Blogger case is also in the hands of the corporate attorneys. The billion dollar + company is in the final stages of financial discussions. Those cannot discussed at this time.
I was sent a page view of a photograph that 32 took at the Grand Canyon. She would have to establish ownership in a court room to say anything about using it. It will be posted shortly. I am using a very similar if not the same file but properly edited. I know for a fact she had much better images to use. The copyright issue is resolved unless she wishes to claim it and go to court and try to offset the reassignment. Me personally, I do not care but I have strong feelings that people who create the work should own the work and work for hire should be a dual ownership with more restrictions on the hiring company than the creator. Neither party would have the images without the other so I think that is a great way to deal with it.
Having possession of the images does not mean you hold the copyrights. So be careful how you judge your copyright rights. If you are in a position to be dealing with questionable copyright ownership fix it or never use them. The copyrights are not in question as far as 32 is concerned. They were not hers, she refused to claim them when she was given the chance and they were assigned as described by law. If you go through this make sure you understand it and check appropriate laws for the jurisdiction that you live in at the time. There may also be federal and state statutes that apply that are not copyright based.
Now you get to the international rules and I am not going there. I am going fishing. I caught a couple of nice ones last night. I mostly do catch and release but sometimes it is nice to have fresh fish.
I am facing a major storm cloud system right now. I got some nice photos so I may put them up in an article about shouting in severe weather with lightening.
