It has been confirmed, that country legend Loretta Lynn’s oldest daughter, Betty Sue Lynn passed away in her home on July 29, 2013 at the age of 64 due to complications from emphysema.
Betty Sue was the oldest of six kids and lived in Waverly, Tennessee, near her mother’s home. She is survived by daughters Lynn and Audrey and five grandchildren.
The 81-year-old singer had lost her oldest son, Jack Benny, in 1984 at the age of 34 when he drowned on the family’s property. She also lost her husband, Oliver “Doolittle” Lynn, in 1996.
Loretta Lynn was born in the coalfields of eastern Kentucky on April 14, 1932 and chronicled her life in an autobiography and song, both titled “Coal Miner’s Daughter.”
