Annie: “I came to you right away.”
Calder: “You’ve been here for 12 hours. Is that your definition of right away?”

Let’s talk teamwork, shall we? Annie brings Joan into the loop. First off, it’s great to see Joan and Annie back in a great place. Things just aren’t been the same when they are fighting. What’s curious is that Annie runs to Joan more than Arthur in this particular mission. Perhaps this is her way of showing that she doesn’t completely trust Arthur like she does Joan, which would make sense. Arthur and Auggie still aren’t in a good place. It’s unclear if Auggie and Arthur still know something Annie doesn’t. The big mystery seems to be that Teo was a double agent, but now Annie knows that. Arthur and Auggie’s scenes have been very interesting to watch. Are you glad Joan is in the loop?
Annie goes back to Colombia after receiving intel that the ALC is planning a hit. She even teams up with Calder again. This episode proves, at least to me, that there is something a little off with Calder. He seems to single out Teo during the raid. The flash forward in the premiere hints that Calder and Annie will be on opposite sides in the future. Teo and Annie come to some sort of understanding. As it turns out, Teo is actually working a cover. It’s a little hard to process everything that Teo shares with Annie after he pulls the trigger. What’s clear is that Annie wants to be his partner, and it looks like Teo might be onboard with that. Hopefully in the next episode some things will become clearer.
Here are quick thoughts on elsewhere in the episode. Joan is up for the DCS job, aka Arthur’s old job. Her scenes with the senate committee aren’t entertaining. The best part of the storyline is that Joan blackmails one of the senators. Don’t mess with Joan. Hopefully the writers will explore more of what is in the files that Joan got from Seth’s house. He’s got to have some great information, and it would be interesting to explore some of it. That being said, the writers seem set on spending this season fleshing out the Teo and ALC storyline from multiple angles, which is working really well so far. What are your thoughts?
