The Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the upcoming multiplatform video game, “Dark Souls 2,” could be released earlier than expected. According to a report by El33tonline on May 29, Namco Bandai Games recently revealed that the winners for the shield design contest will be announced in July. The company held a similar promotion for the original “Dark Souls” in which the game was released two months after victors were proclaimed. Furthermore, Namco Bandai Games may be avoiding the PS4 and Xbox One next-generation system launches that will be happening sometime in late 2013. As a result, “Dark Souls 2” could be released by November of this year instead of next year. You can check out some screens from the sequel in the slideshow at the top of this article.
“Dark Souls 2” is being developed by From Software for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 current-generation consoles. Even with the impeding release of the PS4 and Xbox One, the developer disclosed that there won’t be a next-generation version. Namco Bandai Games is responsible for publishing “Dark Souls 2.” You can pre-order the title in the following link: “Dark Souls 2”
