The Next Stage: New Work on Another Level
Dobama Theatre has big plans for its 54th season. Included in the line-up will be six Mainstage productions (five regional premieres and one world premiere), a partnership with the Cleveland Museum of Contemporary Art, a variety of works from Dobama’s Playwrights’ GYM, season five of Dobama Emerging Actors Program (DEAP) as well as the 36th annual Marilyn Bianchi Kids; Playwriting Festival.
“We couldn’t be more excited for this lineup of plays.” said Dobama Theatre Artistic Director Nathan Motta. “These pieces of theatre vary in style, scope, and genre, yet have one important thing in common: they are top tier new plays. We feel each production is important to bring to Northeast Ohio audiences as Dobama Theatre continues its long tradition of commitment to professional productions of the best new works. Additionally, we look forward to partnering with other top arts organizations in the area like MOCA Cleveland and Verb Ballets. We’ll also continue to upgrade our patrons’ live theatre-going experience with the introduction of a new membership program that goes above and beyond the benefits of past subscriptions, a new ticketing system that will offer many advantages when buying tickets, dynamic new marketing campaigns including a beautiful season brochure, and fun new ways of engaging our audiences.”
