Dr. Robert Silich has been running his plastic surgery private practice in Manhattan since 1999. As a board-certified plastic surgeon, he has experience in all areas of aesthetic surgery with a special emphasis on facial rejuvenation and minimally invasive surgical techniques.
Dr. Silich has been certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and currently serves as a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. Today, he teaches plastic and reconstructive surgery as Assistant Clinical Professor of Surgery at Weill Cornell Medical College’s residency program at New York Presbyterian Hospital. He is also the attending surgeon at New York Presbyterian Hospital, Lenox Hill Hospital, and the Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital.
His education began at Georgetown University School of Medicine where he received his Doctor of Medicine. At this time he was also serving as Rotating Resident in Surgical Oncology at Memorial Hospital – Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and participated in a General Surgery Residency at The New York Hospital – Cornell Medical Center. Following this, he served as Rotating Resident in Plastic Surgery and Hand Surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery New York, NY and Rotating Resident in Plastic Surgery at Memorial Hospital while also doing a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital – Weill Cornell Medical Center.
Dr. Silich has received recognition from numerous sources for his work. He has been listed as one of New York Magazine’s Best Doctors in 2009, 2010 and 2013. When placed on the list in 2006, he was the youngest plastic surgeon ever to be included. The Castle Connolly Top Doctors Guide lists him as well.
His work has granted him appearances and mentions on CNN and in The New York Times, The New York Post, The Washington Post, The New York Daily News, Elle Magazine, W magazine in 2004 as one of the country’s foremost up and coming plastic surgeons, Quest magazine, Hamptons and Gotham magazine, and in New York Magazine in 2003 as one of New York City’s Cutting Edge plastic surgeons.
Dr. Silich has served on the National Board of Medical Examiners and continues to serve with the American College of Surgeons, the California State License in Medicine and Surgery, the New York State License in Medicine and Surgery.
