Not having heard much about this touring Canadian band from Calgary, AB, it was a lively and fun experience nonetheless, with local band Jackwagon opening for and backing the remarkable Eddie Black. The band can be heard again this week at Gino’s on August 1st – worth catching if you missed them on the 30th. Their setlist included two rock classics, “Born To be Wild” and “Wild Thing”, with many original songs such as their new hit, “One More Day.” Their genre is Rock/Alternative.
Eddie’s partner Lindsey Leavitt (keyboards, vocals) was unfortunately sidelined by a recent accident and could not play, but the duo has received wide attention so far on their tour. By himself, Eddie Black was highly entertaining, with a good mix of tempos and styles, and he rocked the house (even though the audience was not as large as expected.) Their tour will continue with visits to other western States including Idaho. Their current music video of their original song “I’m Coming Back” will give you a taste of what’s to come.
