(San Francisco, Calif. – May 1st, 2013) EDEN Pride Events http://www.edeninthebay.com is proud to announce the 2013 Celesbian hosts for EDEN Pride Weekend San Francisco June 27 – 30, 2013.
This year’s celesbian hosts that will add a little sparkle to EDEN Pride Weekend are AzMarie of American’s Next Top Model, Rose Garcia of Showtime’s The Real L Word and the Romi and Rose Show, Aima the Dreamer, Bay Area Royalty on the mic and the legendary hostest with the mostest, Mona Webb.
“One of my favorite things when putting together all the events for EDEN is to really be thoughtful about the celesbian hosts we bring to the event. Our hosts need to connect and inspire our crowd throughout all of our events. This year’s lineup is going to take EDEN to a whole new level!” said Christine De La Rosa, founder and producer of EDEN Pride Events.
Next Top Model contestant and performance artist AzMarie will be hosting the EDEN Fashion Event and performing. The artist, dancer, emerging actor and rapper, model and writer has a creative style that has been called “infectious.”
She will perform “Morning Guarantee http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yId4VcCOot8,” representing an old school coming into new school style of music, among other unique sounds that are all AzMarie. The native Californian who was raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin before making her way back to sunny California, promises to leave a lasting impression.
“I am really looking forward to attending EDEN Pride Weekend San Francisco,” said AzMarie, who has never been to San Francisco Pride Weekend. “I’ve heard many wonderful things and hope for a great experience.”
EDEN welcomes back crowd favorites and regulars Garcia and Webb. This will be Garcia and Webb’s fourth year performing and hosting during EDEN Pride Weekend San Francisco.
“I love Christine’s passion for bringing such a large event for the women of our community during the biggest Pride event in the country! It’s an honor to be a part of it,” said Garcia, a Pasadena/Los Angeles native, who is proud to be a part of EDEN Pride Weekend San Francisco since its inception.
“It’s amazing to see how it started and where it’s at now,” continued Garcia. “I’m looking forward to seeing its continued growth.”
She is excited to meet women from all over the world who will be attending EDEN Pride Weekend San Francisco, Garcia said.
“I am so excited for this year,” said Garcia. “I love the talent that’s showcased and the diversity of the events. There’s something for everyone!”
EDEN is excited to have Garcia back. A crowd favorite the Latina heartbreaker from Showtime’s “The Real L Word http://www.sho.com/sho/the-real-l-word/home” and co- host of The Romi and Rose Show http://latalklive.com/new/the-romi-and-rose-show, with her best bud Romi Klinger http://www.tenderomi.com/, returns for her fourth consecutive year to EDEN Pride Weekend San Francisco.
Aima is San Francisco’s preeminent emcee and the second half of The Mamaz http://aimathedreamer.com/ returns to EDEN Pride Events 2013 season for a second time and her first year as a host. The spoken word artist turned emcee hit the San Francisco Bay Area a decade ago by way of the Midwest and Hawaii. She’s now taking her poetry and lifetime of experiences to another realm in a perfectly blended mix of music that reflects a woman who is independent, sexy, strong, spiritual and intelligent.
Aima is joined by San Francisco Bay Area spoken word artist Ramona “Mona” Webb, who is the executive director http://ebar.com/news/article.php?sec=news&article=68491 of the EDEN LGBTQ Youth Foundation http://www.edenyouthfoundation.org/.
The Baton Rouge, Louisiana native, Webb is often seen around the Bay tearing up the stages with her impassioned poetry and emceeing as FemmC. She came to the San Francisco Bay Area after Hurricane Katrina, but not because of Hurricane Katrina, and has taken the Bay Area by storm as a coach, host, performance artist and artistic organizer. Webb is a trained performance artist has competed on the National Poetry Slam circuit for 15 years and co-founded and served as the president of The Baton Rouge Poetry Alliance for seven years. She is the Slammaster of San Francisco’s The City Poetry Slam and has performed at local LGBT festivals and events and theater productions, such as her recent “5 Civilized Tribes from The Book of Corrine,” which debuted in The National Queer Arts Festival 2011.
Webb is also the artistic director of Lyrical Minded415 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2qZ7NixG3iU and Project ABLE, which is an art based learning for equity curriculum implemented in Title I Neglected school sites. She’s completing a M.Ed. degree at Lesley University.
