“American Horror Story” season three, Coven, featured Evan Peters as frat boy Kyle, killed in a vengeful bus crash by telekinetic witch Madison (Emma Roberts, his real life fiancee). Madison later created a Frankenstein-type monster from his head and other body parts. Peters did a great job communicating through looks for much of the season, since Franken-Kyle lacked speech. He still managed to hook up with Madison and Zoe, played by his season one on-screen love Taissa Farmiga.
Peters landed the role of Quicksilver (see pic) in the seventh film adaptation inspired by the X-Men comic, “X-Men: Days of Future Past.” Upon its May 2014 release, the movie made more in its opening weekend than any of the previous films of the franchise, $262.9 million, and has subsequently out-grossed the others overall as well (according to Wikipedia). Peters joined cast members from the original trilogy (Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Halle Berry, Anna Paquin) as well as from “X-Men: First Class” (James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender).
According to Wikipedia, Quicksilver “first appears in X-Men #4 (March 1964) and was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. He is the son of Magneto, the twin brother of the Scarlet Witch, and the paternal half-brother of Polaris.” He moves and thinks super-speed. As must Peters himself to be involved in so many projects!
Independent film “Adult World,” the first on-screen pairing of Peters and Roberts, premiered in April 2013 and released on DVD in June 2014. (Click here for more details on Peters and Roberts off-screen romance and here for more about “Adult World.”)
Upcoming independent film “Safelight” (original working title “Truck Stop”) stars Peters as a teen with cerebral palsy who develops a friendship with a runaway prostitute, played by Juno Temple (“Killer Joe”). Now scheduled for a 2015 release, this directorial debut for Tony Aloupis, set in the 1970s, also features Kevin Alejandro (“True Blood”), Christine Lahti (“Hideaway”), Jason Beghe (“Monkey Shines”) and Ariel Winter (“Excision”).
