There is no question, the CMA Music Festival is THE country music experience every fan should experience at least once. And, this year’s event will feature a performance from Lady Antebellum, who will kick off the festival with “Lady A Day.” The nightly LP Field shows will feature Miranda Lambert, Taylor Swift, Luke Bryan, Little Big Town (who will host the CMA Fest television special), Blake Shelton, Dierks Bentley, Keith Urban, Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood.
But fans that will be in the area, but don’t have tickets won’t get shortchanged of some fantastic music, as there will be plenty of free music to be had as well, from stars like Danielle Peck, Jeff Bates, Trent Willmon, Julie Roberts and Flynnville Train.
Foodie fans will be excited to meet Chef Carla Hall (of “Top Chef” fame, and currently on ABC’s “The Chew”) on Friday and Saturday nights. Along with Carla are Jason Thompson and Nancy Lee Grahn from “General Hospital,” where there will be autograph signings, musical performances, games, photos and free giveaways. Plus, on Saturday night, the Grilled Cheeserie Truck will be on hand dishing out free grilled cheese sandwiches inspired by ABC’s “The Chew.”
If you’re wondering what exactly “Lady A Day” entails, the band will cut the ribbon to open the doors at Fan Fair X, and they will perform an acoustic set, answer questions and sign autographs in their custom booth, nicknamed @ClubLabellum. They’ll launch their “Ping Pong and Songs” event to include thousands of fans who are in town for the festival. Fans will also be able to enter a contest to get a free meet & greet with Charles, Dave and Hillary at LP Field on Friday night.
Fan Fair X will also house the CMA Close Up Stage, where fans can discover new music and learn more about the stars they know and love, and hear the hits from the writers that created them. FFX is open Thurs. – Sat., June 6-8. Doors open each day at 9:00 a.m..
Wynonna will be making her first appearance at FFX since 2010 on Fri., June 7, and she will chat will Lorianne Crook of “Crook & Chase,” and perform acoustically, as well as answer questions from the fans. She’ll also sign autographs from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m..
While CMA Music Festival is sold out, tickets are still available for FFX at $10.00 for a one day ticket, or $25.00 for a four day pass.
