If you’re lucky enough to have a Dad around, take him out on the town — on Father’s Day and beyond! Our city has dozens of Happy Hour places made for a king, with prices to please a pauper. Make a pact with your Dad (and/or another special guy friend in your life) to meet at least monthly. Make it special — Get out and explore the other side of town. Hit a nice steakhouse. Incorporate a long walk or slow stroll afterwards. Try a new place. Or splurge on a nice scotch.
Also keep in mind that all of June is Portland Dining Month, so make reservations and go somewhere extra-special. As a general rule, the best restaurants have the best Happy hours!
Full Happy hour details are in the book, but this is a great go-to list for ideas. List focuses on “masculine-energy” restaurants, and not bars (take Dad somewhere nice)!
