An elementary behavioral specialist in Maryland who works with disabled children has been indicted on charges of bestiality.
Stephanie Mikles, 45, was indicted by a grand jury for charges that dated back to August 2008. The official charges allege “sexual intercourse with a dog.” While the evidence has not yet been seen in a criminal case against Mikles, there is said to be photographs which place her in multiple compromising positions with the family dog.
After learning of the arrest Mikles’ employer, the Harford County School System, placed the school counselor on administrative leave and has not offered compensatory pay. She has been employed by Harford County since 2009.
If convicted Mikles faces a maximum of 10 years in prison and a thousand dollar fine for the misdemeanor of bestiality.
Presently Mikles is free and waiting further court proceedings after posting a $5000 bond.
