Diesel is a pit bull who has been missing since July from the Pensacola, Florida area. His buddy Shiloah, a Great Dane, went missing at the same time, but quickly returned home.
Diesel remains missing, and his family needs him back where he belongs. An award is being offered for his return or information leading to his return. No questions asked, and you can remain anonymous.
Alexandria Lindloff and Alexander McCallum (mother and son) are proud “parents” to Diesel and Shiloah. They’re family dogs, so everyone loves and misses them.
This story began on July 13 when Alexandria was at work. After arriving home close to midnight, it was noticed a 6-foot chain link fence had been knocked down on its side.
This is the type of fence that’s on rollers where you can slide it open to pull a vehicle through. and not the type of fence a person can knock over. It would take several people, or a vehicle of some kind.
Alexandria filed a report with police, who walked the property to be sure no one had broken in. At that time, she thought someone stole the two dogs.
The following afternoon Shiloah ran into the yard and through the gate. Unfortunately Diesel didn’t return with him. Shiloah had some scratches on his face and a little bit of blood by his mouth. He’s remained inside the home since his return on July 14.
Diesel’s owners have driven around the dog park near the home, as well as off Gulf Beach Highway, Innerity Point, Lillian Bridge and Orange Beach. Local animal shelters are being checked once or twice a day, every day. So far, he hasn’t been turned in.
Flyers and posters have been put up at the vet, local gas stations and anywhere else in the neighborhood whether the establishment owner allowed a poster.
A call did come in on July from a lady who had seen Diesel at Triggers Seafood on Gulf Beach Highway. After talking with residents in that area, some said they had seen Diesel a few hours earlier. But still no Diesel.
It’s been raining and the family knows Diesel must be hungry, thirsty and tired. He may also be afraid. As you can see in the photos, Diesel is a gentle dog who loves children. These children are heartbroken that their best friend is still missing.
