Beer and food are not what they used to be. There was a time when beer was considered a beverage to be consumed solo or, at most, with a light salty snack such as peanuts and chips. But times have changed and consumers are quickly learning that the right beer paired with the right food can be a beautiful sight/taste to behold. Houston’s own Fort Bend Brewing has an event planned in a few days that brings these great flavors together. Here is some background information:
Event: Fort Bend Brewing Beer Dinner
Location: Baker Street Pub in Katy, 23501 Cinco Ranch Blvd.
Date and Time: Monday, June 3, 2013 at 6:30 p.m.
Baker Street Pub is a chain of British- style pubs known for their casual atmosphere, good craft beer selection, and pub- style food with a few surprises. The folks at Baker Street Pub in Katy have carefully selected four different food items, from appetizer through dessert, to pair up with Fort Bend Brewing’s four signature brews. The foods and beers are:
Appetizer: Texas caviar and fresh gulf shrimp ceviche with Texas Lightning IPA
Salad: Apple and jicama mixed salad with vinaigrette with Texas Backyard Blonde
Entrée: St. Louis style ribs with barbecue sauce made with Texas Farmhouse Ale
Dessert: Pecan pie caramelized with Texas Thunder Stout and topped with cinnamon ice cream
The dinner includes a Fort Bend Brewing pint glass and costs just $40 per person. Reservations can be made by calling 713-830-1858. Space is limited, so call and make your reservations today!
