Do you remember “Killing Me Softly” by the Fugees?
The MTV award-winning director of that 1996 music video, Aswad Ayinde, 55, was sentenced to 50 years in prison on Friday for impregnating three of his daughters.
He actually “fathered six children with three of his own daughters,” said Daily News.
Ayinde was given 40 years in prison 20 months prior, which means he is serving a prison sentence of 90 years.
He received this new punishment because he continuously raped one of his daughters since she was 8. In court, this daughter (now 35) told Ayinde, “I can’t describe how much you hurt me and my sisters.”
Ayinde was arrested in 2000 for trying to remove three of his children out of the state’s custody. He was again caught in 2006 after he was accused of raping five of his daughters, according to NBC.
“Ayinde fathered six kids with his daughters from the mid-1980s to 2002 and delivered the newborns himself, New Jersey prosecutors alleged back in 2010. Two babies died in the home and were buried without the police even being told about their existence, according to NBC.”
Ayinde’s ex-wife, Beverly, testified that he thought the world was going to end, “and it was just going to be him and his offspring and that he was chosen.”
