When Carly Corinthos Jacks (Laura Wright) sets her mind on something, she usually doesn’t give up until she finds a result. There are times when she succeeds in her favor and there are times the outcome turns out to be disastrous for her. On the July 25 episode of “General Hospital”, Carly finds out about Morgan’s(Bryan Craig) engagement to Kiki (Kristen Alderson) and vows that the marriage is not going to happen. There was also a lot of plotting and jealousy going on and also a tender moment shared by Silas (Michael Easton) and Sam (Kelly Monaco).
After Sam finds out that Franco (Roger Howarth) is a perfect match for Danny, her hope crumbles after Silas informs her that Franco’s surgery is very risky and that he may not survive. Silas shows a tenderness towards Sam. He sees a worried mother who is showing tears for her child. Although he has been straightforward in this whole process, he is the one keeping hope alive for Sam and something in his eyes is beginning to show a connection to a woman who he purposely seemed to annoy when he first arrived on scene. He even softened for Rafe who stopped by the hospital to support Sam. At the end of Thursday’s episode, Sam looked up to Jason, and asked him to be an angel for Franco. She wants him to actually be a guide for Franco and help him come out of the surgery alive. Danny’s life is depended upon Franco’s survival. As she weeps, it is the arms of Silas who she finds comfort. And again, the chemistry between Kelly Monaco and Michael Easton shined again.
There is no loss of chemistry between Ava (Maura West) and Tracy (Jane Elliot). To Tracy, Ava is a threat to ELQ and she’s simply not having it. But Ava shows her hand by telling Tracy about Franco’s fate and the fact that she is in control of his ELQ shares while he is still alive. But her plan may totally collapse if the secret of Kiki’s real father is exposed. In a soap, secrets always come out and Carly is set on finding out what it is, especially after finding out that her son Morgan is engaged to Kiki and with Ava’s blessing. Carly is not happy of course. She tells Morgan and Kiki that it will only happen over her dead body, which means Carly will do whatever she can to stop it. Carly goes over to the Quartermaine mansion and let’s Ava know that she is on to her and that she is using her daughter to take control of ELQ. Ava just finds Carly to be a minor distraction. Probably not very smart of Ava, who has much to lose once her secret is exposed.
Britt (Kelly Thibauld) tells Taylor that she has a new friend in Nicholas (Tyler Christopher), but at the hospital, Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) fills Nicholas in on Britt’s pass deeds. Nicholas believes Elizabeth’s concerns are perhaps jealousy and hypocritical since she told him to stay out of her business with AJ. Elizabeth vows that she is only showing concern for a friend. Meanwhile Britt’s plan may be soon exposed at the expense of Brad. Felix (Marc Anthony Samuel) asks Michael (Chad Duell) for help. Michael agrees to try to seduce the truth out of Brad, but Britt may be a step ahead of them. She tells Brad to play along with the game. Who will come out on top?
Elsewhere in Port Charles, Kiki wonders if she is making a mistake by agreeing to marry Morgan. Taylor confided in Britt about her feelings for TJ and the fact that she doesn’t like the “friendship” status. TJ explains to Molly that what she saw at the Floating Rib was him consoling Taylor after telling her they can just be friends.
