A Google breakup photo is making headlines on the Internet, Christian Post reports May 31. A stirring image taken by Google Street View in Southern California captured a woman standing behind her car, looking down at her personal belongings along a street curb. It turns out the woman was involved in a breakup with her boyfriend and he left her stuff out on the street to be picked up.
A Reddit poster, who claims to know this woman pictured, wrote the following:
“A little backstory: this picture was taken a couple years ago since they have been broken up for a while now. My buddy no longer lives in the same town as me but I became aware of this recently by his brother who is currently my coworker. I find this even more hilarious because I actually knew this girl, as me and my then-gf, her and my buddy used to double date occasionally.”
What a sad story this is and for it be infamously known online as the “Google breakup.” It’s a painful image to look at — witnessing this woman facing the fact her relationship ex-boyfriend is totally over. Many people can relate to this.
Besides the Google breakup photo that has come from Google Street View, a host of other images and stories have been linked with the search engine’s map features. A few months ago an Australian couple parked alongside a road and started having sex while waving at the Google helicopter. Read more about that story here.
Hopefully the unidentified woman in this Google breakup photo has moved on happily by now and this is something she can laugh at!
