Summary: Mike helps Bello plot a theft from a powerful drug cartel and recruits Johnny for his unique underwater kills. Elsewhere, Briggs helps Charlie cover up mistakes stemming from a bust that went wrong.
Graceland is really starting to heat up. Charlie recovers from her reckless decision to shoot up with heroin last week. It’s obvious that she did that because she was mourning the loss of Whistler.
Briggs continues to show his many levels and different faces on the show. It’s obvious that he cares for Charlie, probably more then he cares for anyone else.
It is going to be interesting to see Charlie try and get over her heroin intake. Obviously heroin has a high addictive quality, where one could become addicted just after one use. Charlie had 2 uses so it’s probably going to be harder for her to quite. Hopefully when she returned she really was clean.
There was quite a little twist at the end of the show with Mike and Briggs. I think it’s going to change the dynamic in which Mike investigates Briggs. It’s going to give Mike more excuse for a motive and an explanation to the past. Of course, he’s going to have to decide whether or not to tell the FBI about it.
Here is the play by play for the show:
Charlie is dealing with results of taking the heroin. Briggs goes to see her and she is still in bad shape. Briggs tells her that he chose to save her rather then take down the target. Briggs says she can’t go back to Graceland until the drugs leave her system. If she goes back, the Bureau will catch wind and fire her.
The FBI/DEA (Johnny/Paige) bust a man in a submarine. After investigation, they find nothing in it.
Mike is working with Bello. Bello tells Mike that one of his submarines got picked up by the DEA/FBI. He says the Cartel is going to get the torpedo (where the drugs are) once things settle. Mike suggests going to get the torpedo before the Cartel to get the $20 million for themselves. Bello is hesitant because his head will be on the chopping block if the Cartel find out.
Mike/Johnny/Briggs talking about his plan. Briggs is not so sure about Johnny helping out, but he gives him the ok.
Mike talks with Juan about Briggs nd his plan to try and set him up. Mike thinks this will help him get back to DC but Juan says it’s going to take time.
Charlie gets up to throw up. She looks around the apartment before her phone rings with Johnny on other end. He tells her that she has to meet with the higher ups to talk about the Odin bust.
Mike meets with Abby. She wants to go somewhere with him and he’s hesitant.
Briggs tries to talk Charlie out of going to the meeting but she says that she has to go or they will go looking for her. He says the only way to stop them from knowing something is up is to give her some more.
Mike/Johnny meet with Bello. He admits that he used the Navy and got his citizenship, but he’s glad he’s not in it because of all the time on the boat. They meet with Bello. He asks Johnny questions but he dodges them by saying it’s classified. He is able to get Bello to open up about the information. Johnny tells them the best way to get an idea of where the torpedo is to use a Multi-beam.
Charlie/Briggs goes to the meeting. He gives her pointers before she goes.
Charlie talks with the higher-ups. He asks why they didn’t bring Quinn in. Johnny sees Charlie start fidgeting and he steps in and says that it’s his fault that they didn’t get Quinn.
Charlie/Johnny go out for food after the meeting. She tells him that she took the drugs. She said that she took again for the meeting to level out. Johnny says that he wants her to get better.
Mike/Paige/Abby and some guy (Vance) are hanging out at a bar. Vance starts talking about himself and Mike is suspicious of him. He takes Paige aside. She admits that he’s a dealer. Mike is worried about Abby, Paige says that she should stay away from a steady relationship.
Abby/Mike talk after the date. Abby says she knows Vance is a drug dealer.
Johnny goes to talk with Briggs. Briggs tells him where he thinks the torpedo is. Johnny asks about Charlie. Briggs says b/c he promised Charlie he wouldn’t. They go back to the plan of the torpedo.
Johnny/Briggs go to look where they think the torpedo is. Johnny is still upset about Charlie. He tells Briggs that he covered for them. They do some re-con and find the torpedo. They see that they booby trapped the torpedo. Johnny says that he is trained to defuse the bomb, but Briggs doesn’t want him to go through with it.
The torpedo plan is a go the next morning. Johnny goes under to the torpedo. Bello tells him to hurry up. One of the thugs points a gun at the water, Mike figures out that he’s going to kill Johnny once he comes up. Briggs tells Johnny to talk about the trap to try and get more time to think of a plan. Mike asks Bello to be the one to kill Johnny. Bello checks on Johnny and there is an explosion in the water. Bello gets mad at Mike. Bello starts to panic and wants to get away.
Mike goes to the Bureau when he gets there he sees Johnny’s alive. Johnny tells Mike that Briggs knew the whole thing. Mike sees Briggs and punches him. Briggs says he had to make an audible.
They look inside the torpedo and take out the drugs inside. Johnny’s surprised b/c it was packed badly and the could have fit more in there. Briggs explains to Mike why he can’t take down Bello. He wants to use him to get a bigger fish. Johnny tells Mike that Briggs took the drugs alone and he went with a different detective.
