Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Take-Two Interactive, recently spoke out about the “Grand Theft Auto V” publisher’s future plans. A report from Gamespot on May 30 states that Zelnick admitted that Take-Two is currently investing in the MMO market outside of the United States as he doesn’t believe that the genre works as well here as it does overseas.
Additionally, according to a report by VG247 on Thursday, Zelnick went on to profess his personal love for zombies during the same conference. The Take-Two CEO claims he can’t get enough of the undead from either a personal or business standpoint after making the following statement.
Everyone always loves zombies. I’d like to do zombies in everything, but I probably can’t say that here. But they do sell.
Given the comment, fans might be able to hold onto the hope for a zombie-themed DLC add-on for “GTA 5” similar to “Red Dead Redemption’s” Undead Nightmare pack. Hordes of the undead descending upon Los Santos might be a spectacular site to see after all.
“Grand Theft Auto V” releases on Sept 17 for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. No word as to whether the game will release on PC, Xbox One, or PS4 has been given at this time. Both Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive have announced that they won’t be attending E3 this year, so fans will have to wait for another opportunity to find out more details about the next installment in the “Grand Theft Auto” franchise other than the popular gaming event.
