Dominick “The Southern Disaster” Guinn is set to return against former cruiserweight and light heavyweight champion Tomasz Adamek (48-2, 29 KOs) of Poland.
Guinn (34-9, 23 KOs), is stepping into the ring for the first time after a year-long hiatus from the sport. The fight will take place this Saturday night on the NBC Sports network, live from the Mohegan Sun Resort Casino in Uncasville, Connecticut.
A victory against Adamek in front of a nationally televised audience could potentially provide Guinn with some much-needed confidence going forward.
After dropping 3 of his last 4 fights, Guinn is still looking for his first signature win since defeating Audley Harrison nearly seven years ago.
The 38 year-old Guinn has squared off against some of the biggest names the sport has had to offer. However, he has continually found himself on the wrong side several decisions. There’s no doubt that he should provide an extremely tough test for the rugged Tomasz Adamek.
