Are you in the mood for a gripping series that would make you read the books one after the other in a matter of days? If you read “The Count of Monte Cristo” by Alexandre Dumas it’s even better, because the series I am going to recommend consists of the sequels to the French writer’s story, written by the mysterious Holy Ghost Writer. The first three of the twelve novels have already been published, but you’re in for a huge surprise: the author does not publish them in order. “The Sultan of Monte Cristo” is the first one, while “That Girl Started Her Own Country” is the sixth, and “The Boy Who Played with Dark Matter” is the eleventh. One thing is certain: Holy Ghost Writer is the most unpredictable and unconventional author you’ve come across.
“The Sultan of Monte Cristo” continues Edmond Dantes’ adventures, while introducing new characters and building strong personalities for the old ones. Edmond is now married to Haydee and has become Sultan. He doesn’t expect to ever see Mercedes again, or have to deal with the Villeforts, but life has something else in store for him. The author managed to combine modern and traditional elements in his/her storytelling, turning it into a fresh and exciting take of the original tale. The vivid descriptions will remind you of the “Arabian Nights”, and after turning the last page you will agree that the author’s talent and creativity made his/her book just as compelling as “The Count of Monte Cristo”.
Curious to see what happens next, you’ll eagerly grab the sixth book in the series – “That Girl Started Her Own Country”. Don’t be disappointed that this novel apparently has nothing to do with the previous one, because Holy Ghost Writer delivers even a more complex and intricate story. Zaydee is an incredible hacker who has just been imprisoned for reasons that are unknown to her. She is known as Princess Jane Doe, and she is determined to find out all the dirty secrets of those who imprisoned her, and help the man she loves uncover a great conspiracy. She is a character you will immediately relate to, because she is smart, witty, righteous, and even has the best idea ever: the wants to buy a small island and start her own nation. And, if while reading the book you’re wondering about the connection with the first sequel, you’ll just have to pay close attention to all the clues and details. You never know what you might discover.
If the action in the sixth book is placed in the present day, “The Boy Who Played with Dark Matter” takes the readers on an unexpected adventure in the year 2099, when the world is controlled by a powerful International Government that changes the rules every day. This book is a mix between sci-fi, fantasy and dystopia. Zeddy is a 6-year-old boy with an incredible IQ, who goes on a quest to find his missing father. He will meet wizards, witches and aliens, and learn that the world is very different from what he imagined it to be.
‘The Boy Who Played With Dark Matter’ is now permanently free on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
When it comes to Holy Ghost Writer’s novels, mystery, suspense and surprising twists are the only words that can truly describe them. The whole series of sequels to “The Count of Monte Cristo” is an adventure and an invitation for the readers to discover the secret behind the author’s identity.
