Beer lovers are always looking for reasons to celebrate. It could be an anniversary party at a local brewery, the scheduling of a new beer release, or the change of seasons and arrival of new seasonal products. But why not just celebrate the entire business of craft beer and set aside a full week of fun, education, and fine brew? This is the idea behind American Craft Beer Week, an annual event scheduled this year for May 13 through May 19, 2013. In Houston, multiple events are scheduled throughout the week to honor the craft beer industry and the individuals who help bring craft beer to restaurants, taverns, and homes on a regular basis. Here is a rundown:
Saint Arnold Brewery
The good guys and gals at Saint Arnold have several days of special events planned:
Monday, May 13- Liberty Station, at 7:00 p.m., release of Bishop’s Barrel No. 3
Tuesday, May 14- Flying Saucer, Sugar Land, at 6:00 p.m., Bishop’s Barrel 1, 2, and 3.
Bull & Bear Tavern & Eatery, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Summer Pils Night plus meet Saint Arnold brewer Aaron.
Wednesday, May 15- Luke’s in Beaumont, at 6:00 p.m., Bishop’s Barrel 3 plus Summer Pils and Endeavour Night.
O’Bannon’s Taphouse, at 6:00 p.m., Divine Reserve No. 10-13 Vertical
Thursday, May 16- Whole Foods on Waugh, at 6:00 p.m., Saint Arnold Tap Takeover including Divine Reserve 13
Friday, May 17- BRC Gastropub, at 6 p.m., Bishop’s Barrel 3 plus Icon Green.
Shamrock’s Pub in Humble, at 9:30 p.m., Summer Pils Night
Saturday, May 18- Fox & Hound Bar & Grill, Shenandoah, at 2:00 p.m., Tap Takeover featuring Divine Reserve 11 and 13.

Friday, May 17– Rahr & Sons and HEB Food Truck Friday at HEB’s Montrose Market
