A Houston fire at a hotel along Highway 59 in southwest Houston is responsible for injuring four firefighters Friday, Houston Chronicle reports May 31. All four were taken to the hospital with two in critical condition. One of the firemen reportedly has a broken knee.
A five-alarm hotel fire caused firefighters to respond to a call at the Bhojan Restaurant at 6855 Southwest Freeway at about 12:09 p.m. local time. The Houston Fire Department said the flames also spread to the Southwest Inn along the inbound Southwest Freeway near Hornwood. A nearby disco and bar were also part of the inferno.
So far there’s no word on how the Houston fire began.
